Room Occupancy Monitor (Completed)

This VHDL-based digital system monitors room occupancy using photocell sensors, counting entries and exits in real-time. It tracks occupancy and signals when a user-defined max capacity is reached. Developed for the Winter 2025 COEN313 course, it uses ModelSim for simulation and Vivado 2018.2 for synthesis on Xilinx Nexys A7 FPGA.

Torque Titans: Autonomous SumoBot (Ongoing)

This year, Torque Titans debuted at RoboWars with Torquezila, our autonomous SumoBot built from scratch using a custom STM32 PCB. A last-minute hardware issue and limited lab access prevented us from competing. Now, with our own tools, we're redesigning Torquezila, applying lessons learned for a stronger comeback.

Silent Echo (Ongoing)

We are developing an innovative wearable glove designed to empower individuals with speech impairments in daily communication. The device translates hand gestures and muscle contractions, detected via electromyography (EMG) signals, into clear, audible speech, facilitating seamless interaction with others.

ENGR 290 Mini-Capstone Hovercraft Project (Completed)

Our five-member team, under my leadership, developed an Arduino-controlled autonomous hovercraft for an Engineering Design Project. Using IR and ultrasonic sensors, we ensured obstacle detection and stability through Pure C AVR algorithms. Despite challenges with lift and navigation, rigorous testing enabled the hovercraft to complete the course in under two minutes.
